SOME WORDS FROM ERIK
I wanted to take a few moments to thank some folks who have helped to affect positive changes in my life. I have been on a quest for self betterment for a long while and like many folks I was falling shy of the mark, not through a lack of desire, but rather a lack of understanding.
One day a former roommate of mine named Terri Beth began to excitedly tell me of a DVD that her sister was sending her. "We have to watch it!" She declared and when I pressed her what it was about she was only able to say that it had to do with drawing good things into your life through positive thinking, but she had not yet seen it so her details were vague. I was a bit ( okay make that "very") skeptical at
first. I have to admit, that while I was all about positive thinking, I was still weighed down inside and did not think of the Secret as anything other than that, a positive motivational movie. But I was resigned to watch it and I am not usually one to judge without having a look first. So we sat down and watched it.
Correction, she sat down and watched it, I sat down and became absolutely fascinated with what I saw and learned. It was an epiphany for me and I remember as I began to rewatch and focus on the Secret and the Law of Attraction the changes that were rapidly taking form inside of my mind. I began to use the Secret in my day to day life in a positive way and of course it began to manifest things in my favor this time.
I had been using the Law of Attraction in the negative or mediocre way that all of us tend to do without knowing how it works and how to use it to our benefit.
These days I use the Secret and apply the Law of attraction in my daily life. It has helped me to grow in so many ways and also connected me to expanding wealth and to the mentors and people that I have needed to meet in order to further my studies and development.
I wanted to thank a few of these folks in particular and everyone involved in the Secret in general for all that you have done for me. Rhonda Byrne THANK YOU! I love the book and DVD and you have truely enriched and changed my life. To my personal Teachers; Bob Proctor and Michael Bernard Beckwith I am studying hard. Thank you for the sound advice, the phone calls, the material and studies are awesome. I love you guys and thank you for every ounce of energy and wisdom that you share with me and so many other folks out there! Jack Canfield, my thanks to you is two pronged. Thank you for both your involvement through success programs and the Secret, and also for your endorsement of Harv Eker. I am learning from his Secrets of the Millionaire Mind courses and the teachings have been terrific. Which brings me to Harv Eker, Thank you! I HAVE a Millionaire Mind! Also thanks to Joe Vitale, I am using your Marketing strategies with good result. Lee Brower, the gratitude Stone was a nice start in my indoctrination into the Law of Attraction. It was the first thing I did after I watched the Secret. I keep it with me always. John Assaraf I use my vision boards as you did and wish to thank you for the technique. Our planet is rich with a diversity of life. But the ecosystems that all living creatures rely on are under threat from human encroachment, habitat destruction, bio-exploitation, and pollution to mention a few things.
In the quest to help save our world we can all do our part. From recycling and cleaning up wild areas to actively opposing the people who are destroying wildlife and ecosystems.
Have you been following the Animal Planet Special "Whale Wars"? A wonderful series that chronicals the fight of the Environmental group The Sea Shepherds in their battle to stop the Illegal hunting of whales in the Whale Sanctuary tracts of ocean. It is rather shocking that in this day and age of enlightenment, the Japanese are still engaged in active whaling at the detriment of whale populations everywhere.
One must ask, where are the governments of the world with regard to enforcing these international environmental laws? Why are the Japanese still whaling when in fact whale meat is not a popular commodity in Japan and it's industry does not support a large following in Japan? Are the Japanese disinterested in conservation? What can we do to help get the message across?

THE CETACEAN PENDULUM CLOCK PROJECT

This is the Whale/Cetacean Pendulum Clock Project. It's begun!
From the cutaway of the Humpback Whale, the pendulum will be visible as it swings behind the wood plaque. To the foreground is the starting woodburning of a Minke Whale.
The Woodburning tool is a Walnut Hollow Versitool. It's tip burns at 950 degrees Fahrenheit. I am using a Universal tip which is the point I use for 98% of my pyrographic burns.
Proceeds from this clock will be donated entirely to the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society to use as they see fit.

For those of you who have not yet seen the Florida Pendulum clock for a visual comparison this is a side by side photo taken during an earlier stage of my new Cetacean Pendulum clock project.
But the Cetacean clock will have a slightly larger pendulum mechanism as well as a ring of small Cetacean images instead of numbers. e.g;
number one will be a harbor porpoise image, while number two will be a dolphin, and number three a pilot whale, while number four is a beluga whale, etc. STAY TUNED IN FOR MORE PROGRESS REPORTS!

Minke whales are the smallest of the rorqual whales at an average length of 26 - 33 feet. They weight between 8 - 14 tons.
These whales are friendly and dolphin-like in their form, having a pointed sharp snout and a ridge atop the head that leads to it's paired blow holes. They are agile swimmers feeding on krill or small fish.
They are well known to approach stationary boats out of curiosity and are certainly playful and intelligent creatures.
There will be another Minke whale in this burn as soon as the first whale is completed.

Well as you can see I finally decided on how I wanted the second whale to look. I first sketched the outline and then woodburned that outline. Then I began to add colour/shading. It might seem darker but I will even it out and lighten it after the basics as any artist of photographer will tell you that objects further back are more muted and less clear than closer ones. - Erik

Welcome to my site. It's really great having you here! My name is Erik Brush and I am a Danish -American wildlife artist and conservation author.
Before you ask, yes Brush is my real last name. I was born in the US but raised in Europe. I have met so many talented folks over the years and in typical "Viking fashion" I have borrowed this technique or that as I grew and explored the world of art.
My first ventures were in oil and acrylic, but I always craved doing more unique or unusual art media. This lead me to make a name for myself at an early age as a colour pencil artist.
I am a photo-realistic artist who enjoys detail and giving the eye a lot to see. I have done a variety of media from tattoo flash art, to sculpture and ceramics, to airbrushing, stained glass, and many other media.
But these days I am best known for my pyrographic artwork.I am sold worldwide. My artwork helps support various conservation organizations and causes.
But art is only part of my story. I am also an author and wildlife/animal expert who has stumbled upon a ground breaking scientific discovery that is radically altering our understanding of global climate change.
My book is called "The Sixth Extinction" and it details all aspects of what is happening and how to fix things before it is too late.

This is a shocking fiction novel by conservation author, shark biologist, and climate specialist Erik Brush. Based on the short story that was used to open his groundbreaking non-fiction book "The Sixth Extinction". This story takes place in the near future after climate change has melted glacial ice to increase ocean levels and destroy food stocks.
